At the end of the 19th century Jack Harkness joined Torchwood after being electrocuted and abused by two sick women fighting for the empire. He hated this Torchwood and wished it would change every day.
At the end of 20thcentury Jack Harkness came back to a hub full of bloodshed and the leadership after watching Alex shoot himself in the head. He swore he would change it for the better and found four new members who would fight for the human race. He was proud of this new Torchwood.
