Happiness can lead to dancing
Ianto smiled as he reached Jack’s office with a fresh cup of coffee. Today he felt happy for some reason, maybe it was thoughts of Jack taking him out for dinner the night before. It had been cut short because of a weevil but to have a moment of normalcy felt relieving.
The smoothing sounds of Glenn Miller reached his ears as he came closer causing him smile even larger. He peered in and saw Jack standing in the middle with his eyes closed dancing strangely to Moonlight Serenade. It seemed like he pretending to dance with someone as his arms were stretched out in the slow dance position. Ianto tried not to laugh but carefully placed the coffee down on to the desk so he wouldn’t disturb him.
Ianto quietly walked over to Jack and moved his arms around him so that Jack didn’t have to dance alone. Jack opened his eyes.
“Ah, I was just daydreaming about you.” Jack said holding Ianto closer to him.
“What was I doing?” Ianto asked very interested.
“Well we were dancing to this very song,” Jack replied with a smile, “Then I open my eyes and well here we are, dancing.”
Ianto smiled and placed his head on Jack’s shoulder.
“Well happiness can lead to dancing.” Ianto replied closing his eyes and got whisked away with the music.
“Yes it can,” Jack agreed, “especially when it’s with you.”
