The Tardis materialised with ease and without any fuss. Jack felt grateful for this as it could be a very bumpy ride. The Doctor looked at the screen.
“Says here we have landed at the Western Front in 1917.”  The Doctor said reading from the screen.
“Let’s hope we haven’t landed in no man’s land.” Jack replied with a frown.
Meanwhile in the British trenches the sudden appearance of the blue box caused a soldier to cry out to his leader.
“Sir it appears that the Germans have managed to sneak in.”
“Really George, the Germans must be really desperate!”

Captain Blackadder walked out of the trench and stopped in surprise. Lt. George was right the Germans had found some strange transport device.

Private Baldrick also came out to see what was going on. He looked up in wonder and surprise.
“Sir, do you think it’s full of Germans?” He asked pointing at the box. “It reminds me of the Greeks and that frozen horse.”
“Trojan horse, Baldrick.” Blackadder corrected.
The door suddenly opened and The Doctor stepped out with Jack behind him. He stopped in surprise when he saw the three men.
“Are you German? Blackadder asked stepping forward.

“No we are on your side.” The Doctor answered with a grin. “Well it seems we have landed in a British trench.” He added to Jack.
“Nice contraption, you’ve got there.” George said with a grin. “And British too, jolly good.”
The Doctor just smiled. “Well we better be on our way, Germans to fight and all.”
“Sir, I have a cunning plan.” Baldrick announced. “We could use that blue box to escape the trenches.”
“Baldrick I don’t have time....could we come with you?”
Before the Doctor could answer, General Melchett arrived with Captain Darling.
“Now what’s going on here?”

“Hello I’m the Doctor, I’m just passing through.” The Doctor said to General Melchett.
“Ah I see, what’s that contraption behind you?” He asked.
“Oh it’s a new transport device to sneak into the German’s trenches.” Jack answered. “It’s a British invention.”
“A British invention? Does General Haig know about this?’
“Of course, but he wants it kept secret.” The Doctor answered while glaring at Jack.
“Sir, if I may interrupt, are you sure that they are real solders?” Darling asked.
General Melchett glared at him. “Of course they are Darling and on a secret mission.”
“Can we leave now?”

“Why couldn’t we take them with us?” Jack asked as The Doctor set the co-ordinates of their next destination.
The Doctor looked up from the screen. “Because Jack, according to history they are supposed to die in the big push.”
Jack nodded. “No we can’t affect history....”
“Yes that is right.”
“But I seem to remember a TV show called Blackadder.” Jack explained. “Surely those weren’t....”
The Doctor just smiled. “Just forget it Jack alright.”
Jack nodded. “Doctor I have a cunning plan.”
“What is it?” The Doctor asked.
“It involves you, me and a bed.”
“You’ve read my mind.”
