Pink Wellingtons (Torchwood, Jack, James mentions of Jack/Ianto)
James looked through the shelves of wellingtons. There were black ones, green ones, blue ones and even grey ones. He pulled out a black pair and studied them before sitting down on the chair to try them on. They seemed to fit nicely and were very comfortable. He started to walk around in them to make sure they were alright.
“Looking good, though you might want a different colour,” Jack told him with a smile. James looked up.
“Black’s fine,” James replied, “Gumboots are not really a fashion accessory.”
“Gumboots?” Jack asked, a bit puzzled at the word.
“Sorry it’s the Aussie word for Wellingtons.” James replied with a smile. “You do remember I wasn’t born here?”
“Of course, it’s just strange to hear new words.” Jack answered, a little taken back. “Anyway do you think Ianto will like these?” He asked holding up a pair of pink wellingtons.
“Unless you want decaf for a month,” James replied, trying not to laugh.
“Oh he won’t be the one wearing them.” Jack corrected with a grin.
“Sometimes I really don’t want to know about your personal life.” James told him before leaving Jack alone in the shoe department.
