Learning to Cope (Torchwood, Jack/Ianto)
Ianto sat alone in the lounge room with a glass of scotch in his hand. Today had been a long day with James and he going through the archives to see what was down there that James could experiment with. For the last few days it had been like that since James’ lover had disappeared without a trace after an investigation. Martha Jones had expressed her worry for him to Ianto during their coffee break.
Ianto knew how James felt after losing the one he loved. Lisa had been the love of his life, the woman who he was going to spend the rest of his life with. He didn’t know how he was going to cope with out her after she died. Martha had told him that James probably felt the same way and was doing the experiments to cover his true feelings.
He suggested that she should sit James down and get him to talk about his feelings, like Jack had done after Lisa died. That it would make him feel better.
He knew better than anyone that Martha Jones was really James’ rock.
Like Jack had been for him.
