The new tv season is starting right this minute, so I won't be going into too many details about each show. If you read this after one of them has aired I am sure you can find it on the internet.
Top 4 Shows I have not seen that I am looking forward to:
4) Private Practice~This is the Addison spin-off of the sometimes great Grey's Anatomy. I know that most of the audience hated the back door pilot on Grey's last year, but I enjoyed it. I was sick of those whiny interns and Addison's show was a little breezier. I have heard that the official pilot isn't great, but that it gets much better after a couple episodes. I will give it two months to win me over.
ABC Wednesdays 9:00/8:00
3) Journeyman~This show premieres tonight and I had no interest in it until a few days ago. No one had really talked about it, but now they are all saying it's great. It's about a guy who time travels and I don't really know much beyond that. I don't listen to critics when it comes to movies, but I do when it comes to tv and the critics love this show.
NBC Mondays 10:00/9:00
2) Dirty Sexy Money~Lame title, but I love many of the cast members, especially Peter Krause. Greg Berlanti (Everwood, Brothers & Sisters) is running it and his name alone will make me watch it. It's about a wealthy family and their lawyer. I really love their ad campaign where they just planted tabloid stories about the Darling family all over the internet. I am very excited about this one.
ABC Wednesdays 10:00/9:00
1) Samantha Who?~Christina Applegate, Jean Smart, Melissa McCarthy......that's all I need. It's a comedy about a bitch who gets amnesia and is basically reborn. It sounds a little like 13 Going On 30. I am really rooting for ABC to have a good comedy line-up and this one sounds great. I cannot believe that a show with this cast could be bad.
ABC Mondays 9:30/8:30
Honorable Mentions:
Friday Night Lights~This is the only show I wanted to watch last year that I didn't and I fully regret that now. You can find the first season for $20 dollars and it has a money back guarantee. Buy it and love it. You still have a few weeks until the premiere.
NBC Fridays 9:00/8:00
Gossip Girl~Guiltiest pleasure of them all. I hate that 13 year-old girls read these books, but with Josh Schwartz involved I had to watch it. I love my teen angst and I will watch any show narrated by Kristen Bell.
CW Wednesdays 9:00/8:00
Now I am off to watch How I Met Your Mother (another show you should be watching). These lists were sloppy, but at least I got them done. Hopefully next year I won't have shit-tons of funerals to go to and I can actually enjoy the beginning of the season.
