I second this entire review. So much so that I'm not going to even bother with my own review because it'd be redundant. (I wasn't going to write a review anyway because it was so terribly "meh" and I feel absolutely no obligation to encourage people to either see it or stay away from it.)

Of course, at this stage, I doubt anyone reads a review of a movie in this decision with the intention of letting the review influence their decision to watch or not. At five movies in, you're already either going to see it or not see it. For instance, even though this one was largely forgettable, I'll be seeing the next movie regardless. But it was good to share my opinion. Glad I'm not the only one who had it.

I agree with the blah of the movie, my hate stems from how badly it resembles the book. The fact that the movie appeared to you as a "mid-season episode of tv" is what makes me so angry. Book 5 is the most pivotal of the series, with more plot lines than any other book. It brings the outside world to Harry and his friends and allows the audience to better understand the horror of Voldemort. After this one I'm not sure I will be able to watch the next one - its the same director.

Oh, and in the book the final battle is huge, with emotional reprecussions carried into book 6. The battle in the movie was nothing.

I could go on and on - and probably will when you are here - sorry.

I reckon these movies get less and less interesting with each progression. And I was reading your review on Prisoner of Azkaban, and yes, yes, a thousand times yes about Gambon's appointment as Dumbledore. Its a pity old Dumbledore passed on, he was perfect.

Thanks... but I believe that was Skooch's Azhaban review.

Now I have to deal with the fact that Skooch's writing could ever be mistaken with mine. And weep.
