Yeah, the battle scenes were great. The rest, not so much. I'm still looking forward to seeing Letters from Iwo Jima, though.

Well, before reading this review, I didn't want to see this movie. And now...I still don't want to see it. Funny how this is one of the few movies were the previews were right on target. I remember the first time I saw the preview, it just looked like another "Saving Ryan" copycat, minus the talented acting. I understand patriotism (nothing wrong in being proud of your country)), but after 9-11, the whole hyper patriotism to the point of arrogance/sentimentality just bothers me ( ... )
