Match Point

I saw a few movies this weekend and Match Point was probably the best of the bunch. I normally stay away from films about infidelity. Something about them makes me feel uncomfortable. It just really irritates me when they try to make you feel sympathy for those involved. No real attempt at the sympathy here probably made this a little easier to watch. I'm a pretty big fan of Woody Allen, probably one of the few people who thinks he can still make enjoyable movies. Scarlett Johannsson is fantastic in this film, every time I see her I fall more in love with her. She can sell every part she plays and damn she is fine. As the film progresses you can start to piece what's going to happen and the ending does not disappoint. Some parts were kind of boring I mean it does take place in Britain so there is that to deal with but overall worth watching. I just read a review that said some people will see this film as some sort of perverse confession by Allen. The whole time we were watching it the wife kept saying that. I thought she was crazy but I guess other people picked up on it too. I would give this movie a strong 83.5 out 100.
