Ohh, you're killing me here-4.5? It was alright, but I have no plans of every watching it again. Most of the time I felt like slapping Zellweger's character upside the head. hmmm, maybe I just don't like her.
I was kinda reluctant to watch it at first, 'cause I don't really get the whole Zellweger thing. Her face looks like she's permananently sucking on a lemon. But I seriously enjoyed it, even though I might've given extra points for that scene in the Now offices with the freaking amazing wordplay of Now & Know & knew & new. AWESOME!
I will give kudos to the fact that it was highly original and inventive-not something you see everyday. Since I have no intention of buying it, it just didn't do enough for me.
Its all your fault for posting the index of all these reviews, so you're getting random comments to reviews from back in the day.
I absolutely loved this movie. I saw it with my mom, and she didn't get it--I loved it. It was cheesy and silly--but it was SUPPOSED to be cheesy and silly. I thought it was very smart and witty and fun, so I'm thrilled to see I wasn't the only one.
Also: this movie is what introduced me to Michael Buble. I bought the soundtrack, and fell in love with his voice, and I've been a huge fan ever since. So for that ALONE, this movie gets huge points.
