Season 2 is even better, especially the first episode "The Dundies".

What I liked so much about the beginning of the series was what you mentioned with Michael believing everybody loves him, but also when he tried to play them like puppets for the camera, but they see right through it.

I also like how he keeps trying to impress Ryan with his antics, and then we see Ryan's mortified reaction. His reactions are some of the funniest.

I was not a fan of season one. Actually it kind of annoyed me. I was not going to give season two a chance but we watched the first episode and we were hooked. I like how awkward the show makes me feel. The best part is the relationship between Dwight and Jim. Dwight is too funny.

It's much better the second season. Michael is toned down a little so it's easier to watch-he's just not as cruel.

I liked the British Office, but I did not think it was the masterpiece everyone else thinks it is. I love the American one a million times more.
