Nice list. Great idea. But, personally, I thought the pillowpants thing was dumb. The LOTR bit was really funny, and I've never even watched one of those flicks.

I saw Fellowship and that was more than enough. As usual, Randal is right. And aren't #1 and #5 the same scene?

I wasn't too big a fan of the Pillowpants thing either, mostly because I didn't think much of Elias as a character. If Dante would've moved to Florida, Elias wouldn't have survived a day being Randal's best friend.

I think one of the more underrated moments in the movie was one scene in the music montage, where Randal did his Wrangler (or Rambler, I can't remember what it's called exactly) walk across the front counter of Mooby's. It wasn't gutbusting funny, but it shows a nice bit of continuity with the original Clerks. Plus, that walk's just fantastic.

I hate to be on Randal's jock here - despite the fact that if I ever did a Top Five Favorite Movie / TV Characters there's no doubt he'd be at the top of the list. But, anyway, Randal totally made the Pillowpants scene work with his horrified facial expressions. He must have taken facial expression class from someone like Vince McMahon or William Regal.
