I used to wonder how you could possibly not see Arrested Development as anything other than brillantly funny. Then I saw this piece of shit, and realised you loved it, and that explained everything.
Maybe, just maybe, if I'd have started watching AD from episode 1 I wouldn't have thought that the episode or two I tried to watch were pretentious. Maybe if it was a more accessible show that didn't seem to depend on a knowledge of every past episode to find it funny, maybe then I'd see what a small portion of TV viewers loved.
Just for future reference, the episode that I do recall watching involved a preteen child name George Michael sitting on Jason Bateman's lap while he was driving. This was an attempt by Bateman's character to give the child a taste of childhood that he missed out on or something, I dunno, I lost interest when I heard the child's name.
