I do think the film is overrated as a dramatic epic, which it is not. But as an action flick, it's pretty good. The train sequence was De Palma's nod to the famous scene in Battleship Potemkin. And Connery's excellent line deliveries keep this from being a 2.5. I'd go with a 3.

Costner is alright, but a bit too likable to come across as this hard-ass Treasury Department agent.

Ness was never a hard ass. :P He was a likeable, trustworthy, family man.

(I was big into Ness and the Untouchables for years.)
