"Another quibble I had with the season is something my wife pointed out as we watched, Jack's proof of Nina's guilt. He finds a videotape showing her kill Jamey, who had previously been assumed to have committed suicide. Once we learned that Nina was a mole, I figured that she had killed Jamey, but there shouldn't have been a video of it. Wasn't the whole point of the room Nina and Tony were holding her in was dark to video surveillance?"

No. In season one, Jack is the director of CTU. Remember the guy he talked to on the phone? He didn't even know about the video feed. I'm guessing it was some type of information that only the higher-ups had any knowledge of, since Jack had to give him a special code just to access it. Even if she did a great job deceiving everyone, she couldn't have known every little secret.

Yeah, but I thought that was Jack simply explained to the guy on the phone that Nina couldn't have completely deleted the surveillance feed, and gave him the special code to access the stored memory. The guy didn't say that there was no camera there, he said that the file had been deleted.

Haven't watched it for a little while, so my memory isn't perfectly clear.. but Jack said there were two types of feeds. The guy says, 'there is no such and such feed for this rrom' and Jack says 'yes there is you just need the code'. So if Nina's knowledge of the surveilance didn't include that type of feed, why would she bother looking for it to delete it? She just erased the tape, which as far as she knew, was the only recording of the murder.

My point is that Nina and Tony thought that there was no recording of anything in that room (or at least that was my understanding) which is why they conducted the interogation of Jamey in this room, where Gaines couldn't see them.

And also... I argue with this point to everyone who complains about the format of the show. You haven't really experienced 24 until you've watched it week by week. Honestly, it doesn't detract from the series... it only makes it better when you get to eventually watch it on DVD, because you get to experience both ways. I hope you can get caught up with the next three seasons before number five starts in January, because I really do think you'd enjoy watching every week.

No argument here. I think one of the reasons why the Teri and Kim things bothered me so much is because the show is meant to be watched weekly. When stretched over a season, things like that probably aren't as annoying. But when you see them happen that often in a week, it gets to be a bit much.

If I actually had money I would probably already own all the seasons of 24 available. The only season I've watched is the one they just finished this year so I'm really anxious to see what I missed the last few years, or days, whatever.
