The self-contained storylines, with the developing overarching storyline were great.
T.V. shows with constant cliffhangers kill me. Angel Season 4 almost did do me in because one cliff hanger conincided with the Christmas break.

Something I didn't have to contend with, since I never watched Angel as it aired. At first, Kelly recorded them and sent them to me a tape or two full at a time. Then, I just waited for the DVDs. DVDs make me love cliff-hangers.
