You see, that's what a lot of reviewers said. The thing is, relationships aren't always like that. Some people are actually warm and caring to each other. Most people don't actually find themselves in situations like in Closer. Also, most people don't talk in monologues, or look like Portman, Owen, Law, and Roberts. Even people in bad relationships don't have the drama of the people in Closer. I'm sorry if that's your experience in life, that love is people being evil to each other, but I'm tired of reviewers that claim that people who aren't interested in seeing that just don't want to see a movie about "real" relationships. Maybe we don't want to see it because it doesn't resemble any reality that we've ever known

Ah Brosnan was fine in The Thomas Crown Affair & The Tailor of Panama. The thing with Brosnan is just that he oozes suave. I'm not a big Bond fan myself, I just think Owen is tailor-made for the part. He just has to decide whether he wants career freedom or financial security for like, ever.
I think after Closer and Sin City, he can have both. Especially since his Sin City character can easily come back for sequels/prequels.
I also think he'd be an awesome Bond, but I think he's above it. They need to give us someone we don't already know to be the next Bond, because it's the role that makes the money, not the guy playing him.
Well, what I'd like to see is MGM announce Owen as their choice & have him respectfully decline. At least then I'd know they weren't complete ass clowns.
I'm glad you reviewed this. I watched it earlier, but I have a shitty DVD player. It goes right through, can't rewind, fast forward.. nothing. If it freezes, you gotta watch the movie all over again so I missed the ending. Anna and Larry and Alice walking down the streets of New York, but was the twist?
