So maybe your love for it has more to do with your rembrances of childhood than the actual quality of the film?

Haha...nice observation. Thats exactly how i feel about it too. I'll catch it on TV on a saturday afternoon and watch it for a few minutes, but ultimatly have to stop because everyone in the movie, excepting Murray, follows such a cliched line of action that i get frustrated. The morning show interview scene is especially annoying in that respect.
