What's funny is that I'm just now about to watch this movie. Good to hear that it's good.

Yeah, the only way for a movie like this to be really good is to have the right people playing likeable characters, and it actually worked better than I thought it would. It was really good, and since I own it (out of all the DVD's I got, this one always leaves a puzzled look on my friends faces) I'll probably see it again when I get the chance.

what bugs me is that Badly Drawn Boy did an entire original soundtrack and got ignored come Oscar time. That was the best soundtrack since "The Graduate."

While some will argue, with some merit, that the Oscars in general are shit, this is especially true in the original song catagory. A bunch of movie people get to vote about music. The only reason why the catagory exists is so that they can get performances on the show.

Well, if my memory serves me correctly (& it usually does), the ending of the book was different than the ending of the movie. It was less cliched in a movie way.

I intended to do a review of this upcoming and probably still will, but I'll chime in with the fact I mostly agree with you.
