Staying informed about current events can be exhausting.

Not only do you have to deal with a barrage of negativity and tragedy, but you're also responsible for sifting through the thousands of news sources to find a story you can trust about each topic. How is that even possible?

It's no wonder so many people just give up.

I pretty much swore off news around the turn of the century. At the time, my late 30s ex was practically glued to CNN 24-7, and I felt like a news widow. But from my early 20s perspective, I saw it as nothing more than sensationalism designed to get a rise out of the viewer. Not much has happened to change my opinion in the 2 decades since, but, since then, in time, I learned to appreciate NPR, so I've at least come back to a source that can more effectively inform.
