-I loved those candies too, but I still have to say that the nasty red cinnamon hearts are the Valentine's Day candies I liked the best.

I used to eat those until my tongue turned numb and my eyes watered.

Also: I think the people on the West Coast Express thought I was batty. I kept randomly smiling the whole ride home after reading that.

I loved that line! And the part about the heart sticker on the calendar not meaning, "I love garbage day."

The article was weirdly sentimental for the Georgia Straight. I misted a little on the train.
