Prompt work

Nov 17, 2009 18:12

Dang, its taken me awhile to get these done. Still have a couple to finish off completely but i will get round to it very soon. Im a master at getting about 90% of a piece done then leaving them an age to finish properly. Sorry!

oh, you know what would be really awesome to see? but, like the process of how you do a picture - like, starting off with the paper and all the materials to be used, then the first pencil sketching and guidelines, then the colouring process...or maybe that's just me who is interested in things like that, but it would be really interesting to see.

I don't think thats an odd request at all. Be happy to do it and will try to remember to document the stages when i next start something from scratch.
Quite often i will scan something in at pencil stage just incase i fuck up with inking and colouring so i can see how it once was and if im feeling brave, mess about with it in photoshop :]

Manchild as a pirate. I approve it so fucking badly - like all of these drawings! Me loved them all!
And, domestic! Jeb & Zed - and I saw Susan Michelle.

I loved Rosie's suggestion and you should do this one of these days! \o/

Manchild is eager to throwdown! Only they would be total failboat pirates really. They'ed be more like robin hoods of the sea or something. idk :/

Masaaaaaan, i cannot draw dogs at all /o\ And im trying to draw more for a certain something else. What am i doing?! Why so difficult to just be cute mounds of fluff?

I have a shiney new (and expensive, omg!) sketchbook to start working in so will try and remember to document each stage of the process for you guys <3

I bought a sketchbook for me, yesterday. FINALLY! I mean, i have an A2 sketchbook and I wanted a normal sized one and yesterday I decided to buy it... But right now i need skin colored markers because the one i bought from faber castell is too dark. Buying them right now! \o/

And dogs... i have problems while drawing small dogs - or pugs and me loves them - but bigger dogs, well, i think i can draw them with no problem.

I got some faber castell "manga" artist pens/fine liners from this art shop in London while i was down there and omg...they are wonderful! I went for a Copics one but they were the only markers and fine liners they didn't have :/
Im not actually all that keen on the Copic markers. Maybe cause i haven't used them that much and don't know what im doing. If you can get them though, i would reccomend Letraset's Pro-markers. They do a skin tone set but if you get them separate Ivory, Blush, Pastel and Dusky pink are the best for skin tone.

God, i spend so much on sketchbooks as it is yet i shelled out £9 (should have been £13 but i had a special points card so got it cheaper) for a Moleskine sketchbook but they are lovely and i've wanted one for ages. Most of my sketchbooks are around that price so its not too bad really!
