I'm a little embarassed to say it was a lot of fun to write.
You side with Wilson? Huh. I dunno, they're both bastards. Not that I'm complaining...

I'm a little embarassed to say it was a lot of fun to write. Oh, it was fun to read too, in a way. I sometimes think it would do them both a world of good if they just beat the crap out of each other, but only if it was followed by intense making out. And since the show itself can't do the latter, I'd prefer not the see the former...conclusion: fandom>TBTB.

In general I do tend to side with Wilson, but only because the actual show, because it is called House MD, lets House get away with a lot of shit. Sometimes too much shit, in my opinion, and it pisses me off. Especially when they make Wilson look dumb or uncool or pathetic to show how whatever House is! /rant. But in fandom, I usually love 'em both. Actually, there's a discussion on TWoP at the moment that's raking House through the coals, and if I had an account I'd let them have ( ... )

I was amazed at what you did here, because I have never really read anyone correctly portray Wilson losing it. This was it. It was hard to digest, but I can't wait to see where you go with it.

Thank you! I guess hard to digest is good. I wondered if it was too abrupt. I'm kinda still wondering that.

Wow. Ok.
Sure
This has got to be one of the best written fight scenes I've ever read. I normally avoid them like the plague cause I can't follow them. This one I could.
And wow to the the whole "fuck or flee" response. Though, I will admit, it was a little jarring, if only because there was no mention of any sort of true sexuality between them before this, so... But still, this story has me hooked.

Well, I'm not saying there was/is. (Or isn't.) Wilson recognized House was fighting the same way he fought with Stacy. Not the way they'd (H/W) fought in the past.
But then, there doesn't have to be sex for there to be fucking.
Nothing that happened during the fight was sexual. It was about power and frustration and control.
Did I not make that clear? Because I was really trying to make it clear.
Otherwise--thanks for hanging in there and continuing to read.

They so need to have a knock-down, drag-out fight. It would be awesome to watch. Hugh Laurie was born to take punches. And RSL goes crazy so prettily.

Anyhow I cannot wait to see Tom's reaction to Wilson. Should be interesting. I wonder if Wilson sees how similar his brother and House are. As for Wilson saying that he was going to be coming back, he sure as hell did not sound like he was going to come back before. So it leaves me with this question, What in the world does he want? And, maybe an even more important question, what does he want with House?
PS- sorry for cussing. That means you did very well. Very emotionally hard to read and respond to. Must have been hell to write. Great job!!!

He wants the same thing House wants. To be in control of the situation. Whatever it takes, they both want to be the one pulling the strings.
(Limitation of third person limited POV, I think. There is a lot of room for interpretation. Should've gone with God-like narrator. Well, you live, you learn.)
Somewhere, to someone's comment on a different chapter, I said something about how when people make big decisions it always feels (at that moment) like the biggest and most important decision of their lives. Until some time down the line it becomes obvious that it was just another decision.
That's what happened. He changed his mind.
At this point, we don't know what he's been thinking about since he left Pittsburgh. Which was over five days ago. Five days with nothing to do but think.
