Oh I saw that "let's go to the mall" episode last night. I liked the robot in the video.

I had to tape it 'cause I liked it so much and wanted to watch it over and over again. I'm a big fan of How I Met Your Mother.

Russell Brand is a recovering drug and sex addict, also a TV show host in England - hosted a show about Big Brother (which was awful) and his own talk shows too(Morrissey and Courtney Love were guests one night). He has a cat called Morrissey, he is in the tabloids frequently due to his er.. romantic conquests... Kate Moss is an ex... and here he is doing some stand up!

I'm quite curious to see how his act would go down in the US... do let me know.

Did you like "Hilary and Jackie"? It made me want a sister, I cried :(

Last night, I saw Russell Brand hosting the 2007 Brit Awards. (We get things late here in the States.) At first I thought he was Noel Fielding from The Mighty Boosh. Mr. Brand really amused me, being catty and cheeky and filthy and pretty damned charming. I think any American who is of an Anglophilic bent or the sort of person who likes the nasty humor found in British music magazines would think Russell Brand is hilarious. It helps, of course, to know who he's talking about.

I adore Hilary and Jackie. I watch it every time it's on TV and it never becomes less heartbreaking.

I was a bit apprehensive about seeing "Children of Men" but I really liked it a lot. And, as well, I cried at the end. AHAHAHAHAHA!

The book, however, is a steaming pile of crap.

Everyone said to me that I must see Children of Men and even the most coldhearted person I know mentioned that he cried during it. Children of Men is smartly cut with lighter parts, especially Clive Owen's character. I don't think a person could watch the sort of misery that the characters lived in without all the gallows humor contained within.

Well, there are Old Dutch pickle-flavored potato chips and those have been around the Midwestern US for as long as I can remember. The snack I'm talking about is slices of pickles dredged in a flour and cornmeal mixture then deep-fried and served with a curry mayonnaise. I've had them at a bar down the street from my apartment and they are addictive.

I never knew Old Dutch made it past the border! I always thought it was a Western Canada thing.

Those deep fried pickle chips that you get from the bar sound really tasty with them being covered in cornmeal and flour batter compared to the closest thing I have access to. That is a whole dill covered in fish n' chip batter available at Mr. Pickwick's Fish n' Chips chain of restaurants.

I'm ever-so-slightly in love with Russell Brand, and I'm not entirely sure why. I do find him hilarious, though.

From Wikipedia:
On 23 February 2006, he hosted the 2006 NME Awards show. Upon reaching the stage to receive his award, Bob Geldof began his speech with 'Russell Brand... what a cunt.' which later prompted Brand to strike back with; "Bob Geldof. No wonder he's such an expert on famine, he's been dining out on "I Don't Like Mondays" for 30 years...'.

I get lovey feelings towards anyone who makes me laugh really hard, especially by saying outrageous things.

I only just saw him for the first time last as the host of the 2007 Brit Awards. It was a good first impression!
