Okay, so I've been MIA due to money issues. Something had to go temporarily and unfortunately it was the internet. I'm back now, though, and jumping back in with both feet. To that end, I currently have a chapter of Collide I got back from beta before all the internet stuff, but there are things in it that need to be fixed. I was having major problems with part of the chapter, but thanks to silk_labyrinth's ideas and input, I think I can fix them. I just need to buckle down and do it, lol. Anyway, hopefully it'll be no more than a week at the most before I'm ready to post it.
While I was without internet, I went through and cleaned up some of my folders on my hard drive and found this Spike/Angel fic I wrote a while back. It's centered around AtS instead of BtVS. Basically, I planned on doing a series of fics that didn't mess with canon, just worked around it, as in What happened off camera? types of scenes. Unfortunately I never got beyond the first fic and doubt I ever will. So now I'm left with deciding what to do with this one fic. It could totally work as a one-off, IMO, but as I'm sure you can figure out since it doesn't mess with canon, it doesn't end with our favorite vamps living happily ever after together. The ending's pretty damn angsty, in fact. So...yeah. I'm really not sure whether to bother having it beta'd and posting it or not. I guess if there seems to be some interest, I will, so let me know if you want to read anyway. I have a Spike/Xander fic (not related to the above mentioned series in any way) that ends all angsty too, lol. Apparently I was in a mood around that time.
You know what kills me? I've got a couple of Angel/Spike chapter stories sitting on my hard drive that have been nearly finished for over two years, but I can't seem to write the ending to them so I don't feel right posting them. I've fallen into the trap of posting before I should have (both in this fandom and in a previous one) and I get irritated with myself every time I see those fics because I know I left people hanging, wanting to know how it all turned out. *sigh* It's different with Collide because I've known right from the start exactly where that fic's going and have had it mapped out practically from start to finish even before I started writing it, so I'm fairly confident I won't have a problem finishing it. It's the fics where I'm not entirely sure where they're going or there are huge chunks I don't have mapped out that I don't feel comfortable posting until I'm done.
Okay, on to another fandom, lol. I made a decision regarding a possible Adam/Tommy FilthyGorgeous!verse based on the fic Filthy Gorgeous. I'm going ahead with it. Already have, actually, lol. I've got the whole series mapped out--there will be 7 stories total, one of which will have multiple parts--and have the second fic written. It just needs to be tweeked and beta'd and it's good to go. I'm already writing the third, too.
I've got two other Adam/Tommy chapter fics in the works also, and I'm seriously thinking about signing up for the lambliffbigbang with one of them, or possible with another story idea. I haven't decided yet.
I did make one other decision, though, and that's to join kink_bingo over at DW. I don't tend to write Spike/Angel one-shots that often so I thought this might help me get off my butt and do that. And I'm sure I'll be doing some Adam/Tommy fics for it too. I'll be making a separate post in a bit with my card. :)
