In my teens, my periods were a little more regular so I would bleed less but more often... but it came with cramps so bad I'd throw up or not be able to stand up.
In my twenties it switched over to this (once I had my son at 21) nightmare.
I am 30 now. I wonder what this decade has in store. >__>
My mom had some awful bleeding and stuff in her late 30's where they had to suck the stuff out like a D&C kind of. She then hit menopause at 40 and no longer had periods. I'm not looking forward to my late 30's. (I just hit 30 now and can't believe it! I don't feel this old!!)
Ugh. I used to be the same. I hope you like your cup! I swear my life has changed since getting mine (fleurcup). I feel so freeeeeeeee! I change it twice a day, MAX. :D
hehe My sister and I are roommates and I told her that I ordered one online yesterday. We both have a similar problem (but mine is much worse) so I thought she might be interested. Her reaction "Ew! You'd have to put your hand all up in there and it would be messy!!!"
... Yeah, well we both use tampons (Super Plus, backed up with the super thin extra absorbency napkins) so we have to 'get all up in there' anyway. Plus, the bathroom has hot water and soap to wash up.
Oh well, maybe I will have a good experience and she will come around. XD
Yeah, I mean, I find it strange that people have that problem. I have no problems with gettin' all up in there. I think it's really fun to dump it out and see how much blood pours out of my body. I used to do the same! Super plus and backup napkins. Now, I'm so comfortable with my cup, I use none of those things. There might be a leak if I don't put it in correctly, but that's VERY rare. :)
I love my Mooncup but beware of leakage if you're regularly passing clots that big, the liquid level in the cup will rise with a couple of those in it so you might need to change it lots!
hehe That is what I said the first time I ever had a clot. I was like... 22 and was laughing really hard at something a friend said over IM. It felt all weird so I was like "uh... brb" and ran to the bathroom. I hadn't had clots before that. XD
