do you think that other piece of tissue under it is swollen tonsil as well? im not a mouth anatomy expert. i'm so mad at my mouth right now.

That's what my tonsils look like! I'd say if you can get a tonsillectomy, do it.

Mine's bigger, and when it's brewing up a nasty surprise, it flares out and swells to the point of nearly obstructing my throat. I'd have it removed, but no health insurance and no $$ = no surgery (but plenty of tonsil stones).
