Could be. Pick up a pack of the Dr. Scholl's medicated plantar wart pads (use the extra optional 'comfort pad' things. They keep the medicated things on). Run through it, see if it's helping?
Or you could go see your doctor for an official diagnosis.
Well, there's also this stuff that you paint on like nail polish, or the expensive freezey things. But if it really hurts that badly, I'd suggest you go to the doctor.
Are the little lines on the sole (like fingerprints) going around the spot? If so, it's definitely a plantar's wart. If not, I don't have a clue.
Sounds like one, but doesn't look too much like it in that picture. I had 2 at once a few years ago and they were horrible. I could barely walk! I ended up getting a topical cream that was being tested for skin cancer at the time, and the warts went away in like, a week!
I've had a few before; the first time I got one I went to the doctor and since it wasn't painful, he told me to just put a crushed aspirin paste on it. It kind of drew it out and then it went away. I've had a couple of others since and I tried an aerosol freeze once but the aspirin method seems to work best for me.
The surgery itself hurt a lot (they basically just scraped it off). It hurt afterwards too, of course, but I can't remember how long it lasted i did get a barbie doll for being such a good girl. I'm not sure whether mine was a plantar wart or not, though.
Ugh, I had one for years, it sucked! I tried to get it frozen, cut off, everything but nothing worked. Finally, I heard somewhere that duct tape kills warts. I put some on it and it totally worked! It was crazy, it like, shriveled up the wart and made it so I could tweezer it all out. very satisfying.
