so my oldest kid (he's 10) has decided that life is more fun when you try to maim yourself multiple times a day...

on monday we hit the local food bank, which is at a church. there's a small playground out back that's basically a mish-mash of various playsets. apparently, my kids haven't been there in so long that they've forgotten how to get up ( Read more... )

between his injuries & his brother's mouth i can only hope the youngest (the only girl) will cut me some slack as she gets older.

I heart my toes a lot when I was little, but it was mostly from running around outside on the cement w/ no shoes.. I never learned! lol I still love going outside w/ no shoes (but I don't run barefoot anymore either).. lol

When I was a teenager this girl I knew (she was 13) decided it would be a good idea to climb into a baby swing. She got in and instantly knew she was stuck so after much panicing someone decides to call the fire department. So they get there and first they tried to cut the swing off of her, while she was still hanging but the guy slipped and accidentally stabbed her in the leg with the cutters!!! Even more panic ensues and they decided to cut the chains, lower her down and she managed to slide herself out!!
