if it makes you feel better, one of my friends once ran into my house to grab a cd while we were at a party next door and saw my parents butt naked and fucking on the kitchen table. then my mother yelled at her. it could be worse!

it was really awful for her - my mum had been a sort of bonus mum to her while she was having trouble at home, and she was SO embarrassed, and felt like she'd done something wrong :/
i think my mum was a bit of an arsehole about it, tbh.

It's sad that people would find the thought of their parents loving each other and showing it physically as something to be grossed out by.

i think it's more embarrassment than anything else. you feel really GUILTY for walking in on them. and hearing them is quite bad, too - you really feel like you are intruding, even if you're trying not to hear. cultural incest tabboos are REALLY POWERFUL, and you feel like sex should be MORE private from family members than from other people.

Though I remember when I was 10 or 12, walking in on my parents after they had finished (My father was peeing in the toilet, and my mother was douching at the bidet) and while it was embarrassing for all of us, I certainly wasn't disgusted by it

I'm so so glad I've never heard or seen my parents doing it. I still deny that any of my family members has or has had sex. ^^;
But when I was 10 or 11 I discoverd several dildos and magazines and got so sick.
