So, I'm in New Orleans and have been here since Friday evening. So far the trip has been great! I ate crawfish, visited with family including my brother and grandmother, went to church on Easter Sunday, and read my latest book. You can usually find hotels, B&Bs and cabins that will allow pets for an extra fee. However, we've found that many won't let you leave the animal in the room unattended while others will if it's in a crate. The problem with not being able to leave him at all is, of course, you are stuck either hanging around your lodging or outdoors. We've looked into taking Casey places, but haven't yet for that reason. I guess you could also look into using a kennel wherever you take your vacation for part of the time if you needed to go someplace without the dog.

You could find an over night place for him to stay. The puppy day care we take Oskar to has sleepovers where they take the dogs home with them and they are allowed to sleep wherever they would sleep at home. That way they are not locked up and they get the love and affection they would get when they are at home.

Don't take a family trip to Houston. Just don't. Unless you like smog and traffic.

How is New Orleans? Are your parents ok? Not that they wouldn't be, but I know the hurricane damage still has everyone a little mixed up.

A call is in order soon. Expect it. Good things at Humble, hopefully good things where you are.

Talk soon.
