The ceremony was pretty cool.

...yeah, he went to Saint Rose in the 90's, but dropped out in his last semester to pursue showbiz. They gave him an honorary BA in Communications and an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters, and he gave a speech. John Zogby also spoke and received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.

Not knowing what to do after graduating seems to be the cool thing to do.
Whenever anyone asks about my plans, I say "grad...school?"

What are you getting your BA in?

Thank you.

pedagogy-teaching method: the principles and methods of instruction

It was a 2 credit writing class to cover the difference in credits between my 3 credit Creative Writing class at Columbia-Greene and the 4 credit version of the same class offered at St Rose. It was only a half-semester course, so it wasn't too bad. It's usually Education majors who need that kind of thing.

Ohhhhhh. Well that makes sense. FYI if/when I go to college so far the only thing that interests me is english and depending on who I mention that to I have gotten the response of "You wanna be like Tony!" To which I usually respond with "WHO WOULDN'T?!" I wouldn't be much for teaching though.

There's a lot you can do with an English degree. I'll warn you now that it isn't a vocation-centered major. Take Education, for example... that degree program is really more like job training. Once you graduate, you're ready/certified/experienced to teach. An English degree really just proves that you're a smart person who has done a whole bunch of reading and writing. There are professional-type jobs that look for English degrees though. Advertising, marketing, public relations, human resources, publishing, writing, and things like that.

I should also warn you about Literary Theory. You have to/get to read difficult/fun essays by people like Karl Marx, Michel Foucault, and Jacques Derrida. It's a lot like deep frying your brain.
