Ah, of course, dear Ponder. He administrates the whole P.C. systems and has built it, originally. He would notice maids bringing the celery and answer their questions, and get them to try - so totally unlike his more stuck-up traditional colleagues.

He's a very good friend of mine, recently spent four weeks' vacation at my castle. And he's got this lovely dog - did you ever see her?

Pity - keep an eye out for her. Very ethereal dog with long, long legs and white fluffy fur. Josephine, her name is. YOu might see her being taken for a walk around the University at times. I used to walk her often while I was in Ankh-Morpork. Ponder is very busy with the P.C. system, his research, and his students.

And yes, he brought her when he visited me in Bonk. She didn't mind the carriage ride much - only Ponder did, a bit. On the way back, they had evolved to what my good Captain Tantony called "a small army", which made things a bit easier for everybody.

How kind of you to think of it like this at once, my dear girl, though.
