Really, though, where has half the year gone?

Lately I've been looking at Olivia and just thinking how grateful I am to have her in my life as I watch her become smarter, and funnier, and more beautiful every day. I cannot believe she has been in my life for almost three years now, and she never ceases to amaze me. I am so lucky to be able to spend my days with her, to see her turning from a ( Read more... )

Yay for being able to spend so much time together and great tans! I love running but my knees will no longer take it. My running couch used to tease me saying everybody is a runner on the inside; some of us just know it before others. :) Wow 44 that's impressive! I should probably keep a list and see how many i actually read. Does the library have it? You might be able to check out so you don't have to buy it yet. Are you planning on staying in/near Wilton Manors? Oh my what a cutie patootie! :)

Ha! Yeah, I don't know whether I'll be a runner or not, but there's no harm in trying. At least getting out for a super fast walk several times a week is making me feel good in the meantime!

Last year my project was to start reading again, and I did, though I only read something like 57 books? I'm reading at a much faster clip this year, and I'm still really enjoying it. I haven't seen the Julia Child book I want in the library, but I find her pretty fascinating, so I might just buy it next time I'm near the book store.

We're not set on staying in Wilton Manors, although we do love the area. We're focused on finding somewhere that's close to Leo's work, so that does give us a lot of options. I certainly wouldn't mind staying nearby if we found a good fit for us.

Have you tried Nova, or the interlibrary loan system? Just a thought if you don't want to spend the money yet. If you've never used the ILL I can help walk you through it. I'm not sure where Leo works but I can tell you we LOVE Cooper City. It's very safe, great schools and everyone is very friendly. But we're a good ways away from the beach... :(

I'm not too worried about finding it through the library - if I buy it, I can read it again and again, which I have a tendency to do!

I think Cooper City is a bit too far for us. I know Leo's interested in staying close to work, so I don't think we'd want to be any further south than we already are, although a bit further west would be okay. It looks like his job is basically bang in the middle of Broward County, which does give us a bit of room to consider different areas. I think for Leo it's all about not spending a huge amount of time in the car every day, and I don't blame him!

50 lbs!!! Whoa. I wanted to see the photos. I have done a nutribullet diet here myself and have lost 7 lbs. Not quite where you are . . .

Yep, 50 pounds! I'm getting more comfortable with photos of myself, but I still really don't like them. There are definitely not really "before" pictures for comparison! I'm just exercising 3-4 days a week and keeping track of my calories while trying to eat foods that are better for me. I still have quite a bit that I should lose, but the weight loss is slowing down, and it's harder to see progress with the numbers, but my body looks and feels better. I'd like to lose another 35 or so pounds, but we'll see how it goes!
