Definitely contact Lowe's corporate--that is ridiculous, all the way around. Unfortunately, I've heard tons of those kinds of stories about Lowe's, as they don't vet their subcontractors very well (or at all). But still, the corp office needs to know how poorly this was handled plus they're probably the only ones with the power to refund some or all of the installation.
Well, we'll see what happens when Lowe's calls to do their follow up survey thinger now that the installation is done. I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'm going to look into contacting the manager at that store and contacting corporate as well. If they don't know things like this are going on, then they can't attempt to fix them, right?
I just had to laugh at the woman on the phone when she offered 10% off my next project with Lowe's. Yeah, no, never coming back again, dude, and I will warn other people that the companies you use to install and service your appliances are crap, too. Ugh.
That is some pretty terrible customer service. I'm not a fan of Lowe's because I haven't found their store employees too helpful, but nothing on that level. Just wow.
That is kind of the worst customer service I've ever encountered, and customer service in ALL areas is pretty shit down here in south Florida. Seriously never, ever going to Lowe's again.
