As a former retail manager and current consumer I am gobsmacked at her rudeness!

Yeah, I think the look I gave her pretty much conveyed my surprise and anger, but then all she said was "Please don't be mad at me for saying that." If I hadn't REALLY, DESPERATELY needed bras, I'd have walked out, possibly after complaining to her supervisor, but having MIL with me stopped me making a big deal of it. My husband keeps telling me that everyone in any sort of service/retail/restaurant job here in south Florida is rude as shit, that's just the way it is, and his generalization keeps being proven right the longer I live down here!

My goodness, I definitely don't think I could have held in a kick to her shin (or calf, or TEETH!) for her comment. Why are people so gosh darn RUDE?! Ugh. I'm glad you got some good deals though!
Totally sucks Leo was sick, but thank goodness he is feeling better! Here's to hoping you get a break this weekend!

I think having my MIL with me held me back from making a big deal of it. That and the fact that I pretty desperately needed bras! Leo keeps telling me that the service industry down here is super full of rude people who don't give a shit about their jobs, and he keeps being proven right time and time again! On the upside, the woman who cut my hair last night was super friendly, did what I asked, and didn't pressure me into something I didn't want.

I'm definitely glad Leo's feeling better. I know it's no fun for him to be sick at the weekend when that's his down time. Finals and graduation are coming up, so as soon as his degree is done, I fully plan on taking a step back from a few of the things I've been doing since he'll be here and available a lot more!

I do that with my hair, too. I usually go 6 months or so between trims.

I know I should have it trimmed more, but I always seem to find the stylist who thinks an inch = four inches, and before I know it, they've cut off what little growth I've achieved since the last trim and then some! I'll probably go back in about three months this time.

My hair always looks the same level of shitty regardless unless I go like a year without trimming in which case it's extra awful. So now 6 months is my "normal". I wear it pulled back like 99% of the time anyway, so it doesn't matter much. :)

I'm super thankful to have such curly hair - I feel like it hides my haircut reluctance a lot better than straight hair would! I do end up wearing it pulled up a lot, though, cleaning up and running around after Olivia!

YAY for a hair cut!!!! Any tips on dealing with curly hair? :)
Audrey has very curly hair. We have no clue who she got the curls from. It is always a tangled mess but it is super frizzy if I brush it.

You might try to stay away from brushing her hair if it makes it frizzy. I'm curly as well, and the only time I use a hairbrush on it is right before I shower and wash it. I use all natural shampoo and conditioner, and I use a leave-in conditioner as well. If I'm leaving my hair curly and wearing it down, I have a cream for curly hair that I rub through it wet and use a comb to get the curls in some sort of order.

Olivia is curly as well (but she's also multiracial, so the texture of her hair might be a bit different than Audrey's) and we have to wash her hair every night in the bath, else it gets tangled and matted. We use a separate tear-free shampoo and conditioner on her, and I comb her hair while the conditioner is it in, and then rinse it. Afterward, it gets towel dried and we don't do anything else to it. If her hair is particularly messy in the morning, I use a spray detangler and a wide-tooth comb on it, and we use little hair clips.

I'm going to try that! I think that might be the answer to our hair problems :) thanks!

Hope that helps! When you have curly hair, you definitely want to stay away from brushing it since it does just make it more frizzy. You might see if a leave-in conditioner helps, too.
