You know, I never really thought of it like that until I read this. Needing assistance and being a drug addict really have no connection whatsoever. Not all drug addicts need welfare, and not everyone on welfare is a drug addict. Of course there are the people that abuse the welfare system, there always will be, but that's not a reason to punish everyone. As a fellow Florida resident, I understand how ridiculous Rick Scott is!

Amazing, innit? Funny what happens when you apply a little logic to a situation. Now if only we could get politicians to do the same! And if only we could get politicians to try and change the system in ways that make sense.

A neighbor said to me yesterday, talking about the governor in a different context altogether, that he wouldn't be surprised if Rick Scott is escorted out of office in handcuffs before his term is up!
