I honestly am waiting for the day that I can only fly if I can do a specific hopskotch, naked, in front of TSA agents after a full body cavity search. I'm not looking forward to that day, but I do have to wonder at what point people will just say "fuck you" and stop flying, or write congress or whatever

I think there's a very big difference between "someone's going to see me naked" and "someone in uniform is going to use their authority to see me naked without necessarily making it clear that this is what's happening, and for very little benefit to myself or society."
It is possible that these new procedures will save a few lives, but it's very difficult to guarantee. It seems very easy to guarantee that they will lead to traumatic experiences for both passengers and TSA agents, and further a culture of submission to invasive and clumsy authority.
