Me: "Did you like the comic book?"
They: "I didn't like the comic book either."
Me: "I guess it translated well, then."

I caught the Mr. Gorsky comment, giggled, and explained it to my viewing companion later. The other thing I caught, which may have been unintentional, was Manhattan saying "as you wish" to Laurie in a distinctly Princess-Bride-ish tone while they were on Mars.

Tyler and I are going to see it again this weekend. Saw it once, then devoured the book, now must see it again. It's a great story and it's given Tyler and I something else to geek over.

I agree. It was about as good a movie adaptation as you could possibly make. I was worried that people who hadn't read the comic wouldn't be able to follow, but my sister said she had no trouble (and liked it, despite not being a comics person).

My only quibble was that in the scene where the local neighborhood toughs ambush Laurie and Dan, they responded more brutally than I remember in the comic book (breaking arms, stabbing people with their own knives). I think they need to be shown as less violent and more scrupulous (or namby-pambyish, depending on your view) than Rorschach in order for their reactions at the end to make sense.

Soren--I forgot to look for your name in the credits at the end, but it doesn't show up on IMDB--you might want to get them to fix that...
