okay this is something i've suspected for a while now, and after having seen this, am now seriously considering its existance:

Irony can go both ways, much as people don't want to admit it. Are these scammers merely greedy for money? would it not be possible that they, too, are in on the joke? Just cause they're from another country and committing fraud doesn't mean that they're yokels. This movie is a sophisticated piece of work, and though money could still have been a motivating factor, there really seems to be a sense of hilarious fun behind it all. Maybe they too, are playing out the 419eaters to see what bizarrity will result? Who knows, maybe they'll get discovered for real! Maybe they'll publish their own book of pranks!
