A warning to anyone who may still have a bottle or partial bottle of
Emile Bertrand Spruce Beer. The beer contains live yeasts which will continue to ferment sugars in the bottle, releasing CO2, which can build to catastrophic pressures. One of the events I apparently missed while in Tokyo was the explosion of someone else's unrefrigerated spruce

I had no idea i was handling the Canadian equivalent of a molotov cocktail! Thankfully i heeded at least a few of the warnings matrushkaka gave me, and only got minimally soaked.
