It's not supposed to be. There is no way to feel comfortable about curses. Like getting stuck in a costume meant to entice sexual-...asdfghjkl!

You can't go home. No one can unless the City deities see if to send you back. If you have a problem, take it up with them, though I doubt they'll listen to you.
