Actually I am 100% sure someone else has not only done a Sandman/Inception crossover but dunnit far more eloquently (I got tired after page 4, re-read it and said WAIT WHAT IS THIS EVEN ABOUT)
(
inception/sandman: cities of sand. cut for spoilers for Inception (well.. everything) and Sandman books 9 and 10 (although you have no excuse for not reading them) )

I still don't own any copies of Sandman and I loved 9's art. (And the Jon Muth chapter in 10).

YES I LOVED THE DESERT STORY JON MUTH ILLUSTRATED, the story and art were especially stunning. Muth's inks were like absolute mastery of black and white. the wrinkles on the old man's skin, silhouettes in the desert, Dream's incredibly beautiful face fhsdfhsdhf
I read the other desert story "Soft Places" in I think book 6 first (the one where Marco Polo offers Dream a drink) and was so happy that Dream referred to it again. what an amazing concept.

Out of curiosity why do you dislike Gaiman? While I am really grateful to him for Sandman, of his later works I only really liked Neverwhere because I think his novel writing style reads somehow very different from his graphic novels, I just didn't come to care for the characters so much somehow.
Thank you so much for reading ;_;

I've always thought his writing was just a bit boring? Like, maybe I had unrealistic expectations because everyone I knew loved him and he's a favourite on the internet, but I wasn't that impressed. I didn't really connect with the characters much either. I am going to pick up American Gods soon, so I hope that goes well!
Thank you for sharing ♥!!

It is all digital, most of it done with the hard elliptical default brush in CS4. AN AMAZING BRUSH how did I ever live without it. shruken down the lines look (and drawing feels) like pencils, blown up it is like an ink wash. blending is hard though..
and thank you for asking, sadly I suffer from lack of focus (to complete anything longer and more polished)... I did promise KC I would share a table with her at this year's comic fiesta so I'll probably need to actually print something for that ;_;
thank you for the kind words ;_; i'm really glad you enjoyed this!
