I thoroughly enjoyed this, and actually found myself thinking, 'ah, that's when Kent went to live with Regan'. I especially enjoyed the way you portrayed the relationships between the siblings!
Thank you! Yay! I'm changing your head-canon! That was what I was hoping for - that people would start seing those pre-mades the way I portrayed them. (to be fair, it's easier to do with Veronaville because there's such a lack of stories about it compared to, say, Strangetown). The relationships between various siblings is basically what the story's about, so I'm happy to hear you liked it. :)
My conclusion as of the prologue still stands - the Capps are one screwed-up family. I'm anxious to figure out where this is going to go, especially as it (for once) doesn't focus so far on the teenagers, which is interesting in and of itself. It's not that I don't like the ones with the teens, it's just how often it happens... anyways, Goneril and Regan and Cornwall all are doing nothing good for the situation at all, it seems.
Don't get your hopes up, I'm afraid there are more teen than adult main characters at the moment. However, I will age up the teens (what can I say, I'm a sucker for 'coming of age' stories), and these three will remain remain among the main characters, so hopefully there will be enough adults in the story :D.
Oh, it's not so much the ages, I just meant to see it's nice to have the pre-made adults get attention, instead of Goneril just being portrayed as 'Miranda's mum'. :)
I think your explanation of why things are the way they are - with Kent living with Regan & Cornwall, the three of them being unemployed, etc - is fantastic. This is quickly becoming pretty much canon in my head. I love it. I've always been intrigued by the Capps being apparently matriarchal, but you're right, EAxis didn't do an especially good job of it. Contessa is dead, and the backstory focus is on rivalry between CONSORT and Patrizio Monty... it would appear that Contessa chose Consort instead of Patrizio at some point. Heh. Also, they managed to list Cordelia as being the youngest daughter in Consort's memories, which I consider to be a mistake. She had the eldest children, and Juliette is supposedly the heir, which makes no sense if Goneril is actually the eldest daughter...
Anyway. This is very entertaining. There's not enough good stuff about the Capps out there. Your dialogue is very well written and your pictures are nicely set up, the poses look natural. And I really like what Goneril and Regan are wearing!
I've been considering adding Veronaville to my Riverblossom Hills sooner or later, and this is very inspiring. I usually fail at playing sims I've created myself because it's so much easier to get into characters that already have some backstory, which is why I love reading about Maxis characters too, it really helps flesh them out in my head

I feel the same about premades vs. original sims. Since I've reinstalled Uberhood some time ago, I haven't put a single new sim in. I just play pre-mades and their spawn
