A couple incidents where he tried to push regulation doesn't mean he's ideologically opposed to deregulation. He still chants deregulation, and now it's deregulation of health care that he's suggesting. What a great idea. You're just a romantic for deregulation like all the other libertarians, =p.
As a fiscal conservative there's no doubt that Clinton's affordable housing legislation was total crap. However this video was extremely biased and selective. The straw the broke the cammels back was on Bush's dime; Even O'Reilly blames the Bush administration. The oversight on investment banks became voluntary in 2004. Banks went from something like 12:1 to 60:1+ cash on hand. Yes Ben B.and many Dem's are to blame as well. But when lenders are flat out making up sources of income, it's clear that deregulation really screwed things up. As bad as Clinton's hippie "homes for everyone" policy may have been, it was NOT designed to give $500K loans to someone with a spotty employment record and 1 year of paystubs claiming $40K/year (not exaggerating). When it comes to economy, the man with Warren Buffet on his side is the man I'm voting for
