Eek, unfortunately O-Chem is not my strong point so I can't really help clarify anything. ^^; But it's good that you're asking the professor. Going to office hours helps a lot. :)

I managed to get it figured out by asking him in a few more e-mails. :) Thank you though!

If you have a model kit to make the molecule in 3D that might help you; one of the hardest part of ochem is visualizing it. D= (and also, reaction mechanisms orz)

LOL Death the Kid~ I haven't been keeping up with the anime due to lack of time (though I have been reading the manga), so I'll have to catch up on it sometime.

I do have a model kit although that wasn't really the problem; mainly it was understanding how the CNMR signals work on the graph (i.e. chemical shifts say what *kind* of C or CH it is). ...Oh god rxn mechs. I'm not even having a chem exam this week; this stuff is for chem LAB. ^^;;

The Soul Eater anime is awesome! And very funny XD I do recommend it. The music for it is great too. (I've watched 2 eps of TotA so far and wish I could watch more ^^;; )

That's my favorite song too! The OST is some kind of amazing.

Death the Kid is my (pretend, since I'll be at work all night) Halloween cosplay so I've been going around making jokes about symmetry, but a bunch of cosplay-related projects of late have to be symmetrical and it's killing me and my friend. He's so freaking FUN. I can't wait to do more pics of badassery in this costume. woo!

Heheh, that's awesome that you're wearing it for Halloween (wearing it at work is fun enough XD ). I'm thinking I should have brought one of my more packable cosplays with me over at college but I didn't (and kind of wish I did). Well, symmetrical costumes are somewhat easier to pattern, aren't they? (Not that I actually know -_-;;)

This is for my lab class; we're reading CNMR graphs. Chiral and achiral weren't really the issue.

Sometimes, it pays to be OCD--especially in Science *nods*
