You do realize that if Roy DOES end up with Ed against a wall around here, I'm coming straight to you with a machete clutched in my hands and screaming incoherantly, right?

Thanks for reccing the fic, btw! >_> With any luck I'll avoid Roy's currently stated intention of making me write him a REAL FIC with REAL -- uh, never mind, suffice only to say Ed's after him with a knife. ^^;

Excuse me. I have to have a "CRAP OH MY GOD MEG KNOWS I EXIST AND NOW I HAVE TO GO HIDE UNDER THE DESK BEFORE I EMBARASS MYSELF" moment. *takes moment ( ... )

That. Is. So. True. *falls over laughing*

... *points to self* I shall be the one making any Ed-up-against-the-wall fics here, thankyouverymuch. It's my personal mission. Damn Ed for being so in character and wanting to kill Roy, anyway. >____>

*giggles* Well, to tell the truth, shuurin got about half of hers written that same night we discussed it and I'm dying for more of it, but she's also my icon/fanart bitch, which means she's stretched rather thin at the moment and hasn't been able to touch it for days now. Also? Different authors always have different takes on an idea and I am desperate to see what other people come up with for this one.

....so what can I do/use to blackmail encourage you further? *niko*

You know, it's absolutely HYSTERICAL that you saying you adore my sense of humor when I was just informed (by someone who you happened to recc.... three times?.... on this same page) of exactly how bad it is... and that we shared it.

^_^ Welcome to the land of asking for tomatoes.

*laughs!* Well, obviously, SOME people just can't APPRECIATE a good sense of humor! CLEARLY these people have no taste WHATSOEVER and should go dig a hole in the backyard to bury themselves inside it and do the rest of the world a favor. ^_~

(Translation: Eh, if I'm gonna have a weird sense of humor, at least I'm in good company. ^_~)

Oooh, how about old shoes? Can I use old shoes along with the tomatoes? And lettuce! They always throw lettuce in cartoons and stuff, right? ^_~

PS - thank you so veryvery much for reccing my fic, Becky! *heartheartheart* It restored my self-confidence, at least in part. ^^;; rukawagf wouldn't touch it, and when she did she didn't get very far and said nothing about what she thought of it, so ...

I'm too afraid to give rukawagf any of my fics to read because she gently tears them apart and hands me the shreds and carefully informs me, in the nicest language, that the entire premise sucks, and by the way, the style was kind of weird, too. ^_____^;;;;;

She's a better writer than me, so I should listen. Sigh.

But again, thanks for the rec. It's always awesomely flattering. *blushes*

*glomps* I am more than happy to help boost confidence if I can--beta-readers who really will tear your fic apart and hand it back to you in shreds are wonderful things, they help you grow as a writer. But it's also important to have someone gush over your work once in awhile (and, hell, I freely admit that I gush, even if I like to think it's intelligent gushing ^_~) to know that you are doing something right and making progress, too.

And, hell, it's not like I don't get something out of it, too--I know that writers who get feedbacked are far more likely to write what I tell them to write get inspired to write more. ^_~

*hugs* I don't ever mean to put pressure on you... would it help if I told you that your next story sucked big-time?

*pets* Don't worry about living up to expectations, as long as you enjoy what you're writing, that'll come through in the work and be enjoyable for that.

Nonono... don't be too worried. ^^ I'll be fine. I think. And I usually enjoy what I write. ^_^

would it help if I told you that your next story sucked big-time?

XD I think we tried something like that before. Did it work then?
