Heh. I'm enjoying the Bleach wank so much more now that I've given up on the community that creates a good chunk of it.

And, yay! You ended up giving JunJou a go! It can be a lot of fun, especially as a guilty pleasure.

I got into D.Gray-man via the anime, which I really do adore. However, one thing that bugged me about it was how Rinali would have these occasional moments of awesome and then long spans where she was rather difficult to like. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the manga to find she was she pretty much constantly a really interesting character. The anime gave me so much awesome additional Lavi material that I can practically forgive it anything, however! I ... am shallow. This is not new.

Once I stopped taking certain people seriously, the fandom got a whole hell of a lot funnier. Sure, occasionally I still have moments of feeling really burnt over the way fans are treated just for preferring one ship over another, but lately... it's gone so far around the batshit bend that it's come back around to being super hilarious. (It helps to know that I'm not the only one thinking certain corners of fandom are behaving really badly

I used to be really angry at the fandom a lot for the atrocious behavior, but lately... it's just so completely over the top batshit that I can't take it seriously anymore and it's become PURE LOL. (Though, I really would like to know why so many fans are so rageful about the IchiHime pairing. Seriously, did the ship run over someone's dog or something?)

I realize I'm hardly the most objective person around about this, but I have often gotten the impression that a lot of people are angry that shippers of it dare exist at all as well. Or that anyone actually takes it seriously and think there's something genuinely there. (Thankfully, most of these detractors have gone so far off the deep end that it has now come back around to hilarious.)

I have trouble believing that it's STILL GOING that nobody's gone, "hey, maybe we look a little ridiculous here and we should tone it down?" but instead they just KEEP GOING. I am beginning to feel that it's truly the successor to Zutara wank at this rate.

Looking around, you can find that it's actually shopped (which I had been fervently hoping was true, because... honestly, what possible other explanation could there have been? it didn't even mention any use for it on the box!) but the memory remains. As a scar upon our souls ever. ;__;
