It's pretty bad when the Fandom Wank material is actually some of the less offensive content that has popped up in the Bleach fandom this week. This is definitely one of those fandoms where it's safer to sit off in the corner with the slashers (who slash everyone with anyone) even when you do write mostly gen.

It's hard not to get sucked into the stupidity of all the offensive content going around in this fandom sometimes, but I know absolutely no good would come of it, I wouldn't even feel that much better if I did put my ranting pants on.

I think I may come over there and join the slashers because I am seriously ready for a sane, cheerful section of Bleach fandom. XD

I'm sure there must have been some tension with the slashers at some point simply because - you know - fandom, but it's always seemed nice and friendly and fun since I've been involved! Plus, a good chunk of them love a whole variety of het pairings as well. The emphasis seems to be on having lots of silly fun while still being all up for character exploration (which I love so very much).

Edit: Although admittedly this could be more the Kensei/Shuuhei corner, which tends to encompass anyone/Shuuhei and Vizard-mix-and-mash pairings. But the rest of the slashers seem to be lots of fun as well.

It's been so long since I was into the slash side of Bleach fandom (after their lack of interaction, I kind of slid away from Ishida/Ichigo and I don't think Aizen/Gin has that strong of a presence in fandom, do they?) but while I was there, everyone seemed pretty nice and generally sane. I mean, you had some stupid people, but what fandom DOESN'T have stupid people SOMEWHERE? XD

And also the slash side gets the lion's share of the doujinshi. *stomps foot* I want more Bleach doujinshi, too! HMPH.

You spoil me. And you know I'm going to break Dino's heart so much with every fic I write. Cause that's how I love my Dino and how he loves his Hibari.

Dino is stronger and heavier than Hibari (I mean, he wouldn't have been a good teacher for Hibari if he wasn't) but he knows what overpowering Hibari will do for their already disasterous communication levels

How glad I am you liked that idea, because it's one of those things I firmly believe about Dino and Hibari and sometimes I go "maybe it's just me and I'm crazy" but I think that's what Dino does.

KHR is one of those fandoms where I don't mind the heartbreaking fic and I don't know why. Am I just that obsessed? Does Dino (and Hibari as well) just lend himself to that kind of fic really well? *throws up hands*

I absolutely of the opinion that Dino is one of those characters that simply doesn't let on that he's thinking deeper thoughts than his sunny expression would seem to let on. And I absolutely think that Dino knows, if you push Hibari too much, it's like what you get with Mukuro in canon--Hibari will just be angry forever. (Not that I'm not willing to overlook that if an author can write it well.)

I BLAME YOU FOR THIS BY THE WAY. Your porn battle entries got me back into reading fic (and then shiny doujinshi) and now I'm back into full-blown obsession. (Well, Durarara!! may have had something to do with it as well. WHEN WILL THE DRRR!! DOUJINSHI BE HERE?)

LOL, oh I love me some F_W. I went and tried to follow a bit of it on the original journals and it is pretty nasty -- but hilarious nonetheless. This makes me so glad I was never really in the Bleach fandom (except for that year where I was all about Ichigo/Ishida).

And man, multiple pairing shippers coming under fire... As one myself, I think I should take offense.

Normally I love seeing Bleach show up on f_w, but I think I've been getting a little too frustrated with Bleach fandom lately, given my preferences in this fandom. And it's not like I can go drown my sorrows on a mountain of fic, like I can in other fandoms where my favorite pairings get so maligned. Thus, I get grumpy. *IS GRUMPY*

Ahahahah, as someone who actually is a fairly hardcore OTP type of fangirl... it makes no sense to me that multi-shippers would come under fire like that! Some people are just wired that way, even I can understand that! XDDD

That's... an incredibly narrow-minded viewpoint. Wow.

I don't know about anyone else, but I tend to have One True CHARACTER, rather than pairing, and I like to see them with different people who bring out different things in them. Not to mention, I've always found the concept of True Love depressing. So, you're trying to tell me, that if I never met my perfect match/they died, I'm never going to be really happy? Come on, now.

The idea of there being only one True Love out there for each person just seems silly to me. Emotions just don't work like that. XD Sure, there are people that you can find True Love with, but there's not just one and it's always going to be something that needs to be worked on and maintained. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, though. ♥

And I know the feeling--sometimes I have that one character I'll ship with anyone. I almost always have an OTP, but I can ship other pairings with genuine affection and seriousness. And some people just simply multi-ship, that's the way they're wired! XD
