and yay! for good Nodame fic (oh, Chiake, why are you so hot and cool and so you?). and of course i´ve seen one of my dreams fulfilled - somebody writing good watanuki/yuuko, cause i´ve been a shipper since day one.

And Chiaki! God, I keep thinking that I should hate him, he's such a jerk and he's completely abusive to people around him, but then he's so awesome or has worked so hard himself or he's secretly a soft touch on the inside and I completely fall in love with him again.

Ahhh, good! I wasn't sure what you'd think of Chiaroscuro, so I'm glad to hear it worked for you. Even though I was VERY MEAN TO TAKABA.

I don't like Yuuko/Watanuki much, either, but it was required since the fic series is connected, and I wanted Yuuko and Watanuki for the surrounding fics (tomorrow I'm releasing my favorite in the 31_days series, but I don't think many people will like it. Sigh.)

Chiaroscuro made really good use of Misa, the intelligence behind her ditzy blonde act, and makes me remember that I actually really like her character a lot. Just. Not enough to put up with fandom's idiocy. (Of course, I feel the same way about L/Raito. I love the pairing dearly, but not enough to put up with fandom being stupid about it.)

I think a lot of it is the age difference that gets me with Yuuko and Watanuki, they're at such completely different levels/places in their lives and gaps like that often squick me when they're not supposed to be creepy. (Like, Seishirou/Subaru? Totally supposed to be creepy, thus I'm okay with it!) But you wove it in a really interesting way, so it was fun to read.

Misa is one of those characters who really got abused by the manga-ka. She started out as REALLY interesting - hell, she found Raito before he found her - but then just sort of devolved. The whole thing about her committing suicide after Light dies just utterly steams me.

I agree the age difference is part of the problem, but the other is that there's no romantic chemistry. Yuuko doesn't flirt with him, Watanuki doesn't react with embarassment when she prances around in swimsuits and such. It's almost maternal, but not... really more older sister/young brother.

A lot of times I agree, re: changing the dynamic of two characters in a series, but I've thought it was obvious from the beginning that Chiaki/Nodame was going to happen. (And I was under the impression they had gotten together/were close to getting together in the manga already?) However, WIN for Kyouya/Tamaki! ^_~

Ahahaha, sorry! I seem to have been officially converted to Pin, which is strange because I usually make a beeline straight for the retard and his bitchy boyfriend type of pairings, but... I think it's because Yamapi is my favorite that I can't ship Akame. (For me, Yamapi > the rest of KAT-TUN and NEWS put together. It goes Yamapi --> Jin --> Kame for my favorites with those two groups.)

Which is why I could ship, say, Kame/Yamapi, but if I tried to read Akame, I would be all, "WHERE IS YAMAPI? I SEE NO YAMAPI IN THIS FIC. DO NOT WANT."

Clearly, we should solve our differences by having more Kame/Jin/Yamapi fic. ♥ (....I hate that JE has turned me into that fan, the one that says, "Threesomes solve all our
